Lucille cuts a ribbon of 70mm film to mark the merger of two Hollywood studios, Paramount and Desilu, July 1967. With her is Charles G. Bluhdorn, Board Chairman of Gulf & Western. The deal cost Gulf & Western $17 million, of which $10 million went to Lucille. She insisted that no former employees of Desilu should lose their jobs.
